I started my medical training with the idea of becoming a tropical doctor, to work in the tropics for several years like my parents. After an elective cosmanship in Zambia, and six months as a ward physician in paediatrics at Wilhemina Children's Hospital, I confidently started my training as a GP. I have now been working as a GP for more than ten years and I am still happy with the choices I made back then. The profession with the daily small contacts, the wonder and the feeling that you can really mean something, suits me.
I hope you will find in me a doctor you feel comfortable with, you can go to with your story and complaints, and you will feel heard.
