General appointment
When you make an appointment at the surgery, our assistant always asks why you want to see the GP.
Because of this:
- gives the assistant insight into the time needed to deal with your complaint
- the assistant can give you an appointment with the right counsellor
If you do not want to tell us the reason for your visit for reasons of privacy, we will of course respect that. We then ask you to estimate the time needed yourself. Should we run out of time during your consultation, we may ask you to reschedule.
An appointment with your GP gives you 15 minutes to deal with your problem. Sometimes we schedule a double consultation, for example for:
- two or more extensive complaints
- severe psychological complaints
- a surgical operation
- complex elderly care
- a family discussion
